Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has fully utilized its big data advantages to achieve intelligent environmental protection management.
The Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment launched phase I of the "Guiyang ecological cloud" in 2017, which integrated various functions, data, and analysis. With a growing demand for refined, intelligent environmental management, the bureau has initiated constructing phase II of the project.
This project includes an ecological environment data resource center, a smart command platform, and two application scenarios supporting effective ecological management, precise governance, and scientific decision-making.
The data resource center consolidates national, provincial, and municipal ecological environment systems data over the past three to five years. It currently collects from various departments related to environmental fields such as water affairs, forestry, and urban planning.
Once implemented, the project will promote the internal integration and exchanges of data, and enable manageable, controllable, and traceable data services.
It will use digital and intelligent means to drive the high-level protection and modernization of ecological governance, safeguarding Guiyang's green mountains and clear waters through smart environmental protection methods.
