The Guian New Area – located in Southwest China's Guizhou province – has applied the internet plus, the latest in information technology, to the healthcare sector there in order to meet the public's growing medical demands, according to a recent official report.
A specialized remote platform has been established, with the installation rate having reached 100 percent as of July 6.
The platform reportedly facilitates both retail pharmaceutical enterprises and patients, which avoids bottlenecks and other hassles in drug dispensing.
From this year, the local market supervision bureau has ramped up greatly publicity about the platform.
At the same time, it has increased detailed inspections of 72 local retail pharmacies and prescriptions by dispatching 132 law enforcement personnel, which has further ensured the safe use of medicine.
