China-ASEAN smart grain big data service forum held in Guiyang

The China ASEAN International Forum on the Smart Grain Big Data Service and Management Industry, a part of the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, was held in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 27.

The forum focused on the digital transformation and upgrading of the grain industry and aimed to provide new ideas for deepening cooperation in digital agriculture and smart grain.

Over the past 30 years, more than 40 bilateral agricultural cooperation agreements have been signed between China and ASEAN, along with the establishment of eight bilateral agricultural cooperation mechanisms. Together, China and ASEAN have implemented over 300 agricultural technology cooperation projects.

The forum was aimed at strengthening international exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN in food security guarantee systems, further supporting the healthy and stable development of the China-ASEAN grain industry.

With China's rapid economic development and the changing international situation, food security has become crucial. The precise macro-control of grain, modernization of grain circulation capacity, normalization of grain circulation supervision, efficient development of the grain industry, and high-quality grain industry services all urgently require digital resource support.

Liu Baoli, executive secretary-general of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week Organizing Committee, stated that China is promoting the digital transformation of the grain industry. Technology companies, relying on their independent innovation capabilities, have launched solutions for smart grain.

China provides digital services for the entire grain industrial chain, including smart planting, intelligent storage, smart grain depots, and intelligent decision-making, which help in the development of an advanced, efficient, and secure digital guarantee system for food security.
