Construction recently started on the Guizhou big data security innovation center in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. This center was a key provincial big data innovation project in 2023.

The planning of the center started in August of 2023, and its construction is estimated to take two years. In 2024, the center will complete the construction of relevant hardware and software facilities, as well as the formation of a core research team.

The center will clarify its research directions, seek cooperation partners, and start the commercialization and application of research achievements.

In 2025, the center will participate in the formulation of industry standards and regulations. It will also continue to expand its research team, deepen innovation, and enhance the center's operational management and technical research and development capabilities.

When established, the center will provide data security, AI security assessment and validation, and expert consulting services. It will become an important platform to help local companies enhance their network security, data security, and information security protection, reducing enterprise compliance and operational risks.

It will also promote the sharing and cooperation of the data security industry and provide more advanced paths for realizing data security for both the government and enterprises.

The center will strive to respond to the security industry changes brought about by the era of AI, such as cybercrime, cyber-attacks, and data theft. It will also further protect the rights and interests of individuals and enterprises, thus safeguarding the progress of the digital economy, and promoting the high-quality development of new infrastructure.
