The report highlighted that in 2024, the competitiveness of Guiyang's digital economy continued to grow, with the increased popularity of the "China Digital Valley" brand.
Huawei's Cloud Intelligent Computing Base was put into operation in 2024, and companies like Telecom and Tencent accelerated the construction of intelligent computing centers. Computational power reached 53.12 EFLOPS, and intelligent computing accounted for 95.6 percent of the total.
The application of large industry models rapidly advanced. The National Big Data (Guizhou) Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Artificial Intelligence Training Centers was established, and 12 large model algorithms, including Huawei Cloud’s Pangu NLP model and the 39 Health Medical Content Generation algorithm, were registered with the National Cyberspace Administration.
In 2024, Guiyang Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City housed 1,357 enterprises. The city's software and information technology service industry generated revenue of over 98 billion yuan (13.37 billion), growing by 20 percent year over year.
In August, a record number of over 3,000 enterprises participated in the 10th China International Big Data Industry Expo, which showcased 154 achievements in the field of big data.
