China's first AI-powered tourism application launched in Guiyang

The groundbreaking AI-powered tourism application "AI-guided Tours in Guizhou" was released on Jan 16 at the 2025 Guizhou AI Tourism Launch Event in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

It is China's first provincial AI tourism assistant, offering various services, including interactive travel planning and multilingual tour guide services. Analyzing big data on users' profiles also assists in policy-making and forecasting while helping to build a comprehensive AI-driven model to support the development of Guizhou's tourism industry.

Users can now interact with the app to receive personalized travel itineraries. Before their trips, tourists can ask questions to quickly sift through information and customize their journeys according to their preferences.

The AI system provides up-to-date information and helps handle unexpected situations, ensuring a smooth and worry-free experience. Multilingual translation features offer international visitors a more efficient and accessible travel experience in Guizhou.

The Guizhou Provincial Government has strongly supported the integration of tourism and the digital economy. It recently released the "Guizhou Province Action Plan for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Artificial Intelligence (2025-27)," outlining plans to accelerate AI innovation and industry application while aiming to dominate key sectors such as smart computing, industry-specific AI models, and data training.
