In recent years, Southwest China's Guizhou province has been at the forefront of China's digital economy revolution, driven by a steadfast commitment to market-oriented reforms in data element allocation.

The province has focused on three critical areas: computing power, empowerment, and industry, striving to dominate in intelligent computing, industry-specific large model development, and data training.

This strategic approach has accelerated the advancement of high-capacity computing power, data, and application hubs, establishing Guizhou as a key innovation zone for the development of the digital economy.

For the past nine years, Guizhou's digital economy has grown at a leading pace nationwide, and the province has seized new opportunities in the implementation of the digital economy strategy.

The province now boasts 48 major data centers, with a computing power scale exceeding 55 Eflops. Over 90 percent of this capacity is dedicated to intelligent computing, positioning Guizhou among the regions with the most abundant intelligent computing resources and the strongest capabilities in the country.

Looking ahead, Guizhou will adjust its computing power voucher policies and streamline the redemption process to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to adopt domestic computing power solutions. These efforts are expected to expand the computing power industry's scale to over 12 billion yuan ($1.65 billion).

Additionally, Guizhou will actively engage with and support the computing power demands of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Delta, and surrounding provinces, strengthening its role as a vital hub for computing power and digital innovation.
