In Southwest China's Guizhou province, a technological marvel has been silently contributing to some of cinema's most breathtaking visual experiences. It is the Gui'an Supercomputing Center, a beacon of computational power and innovation.

Launched at the end of 2020 by the Gui'an Science and Technology Innovation Industry Development Co, the Gui'an Supercomputing Center boasts over 700 hardware devices and a staggering array of more than 1,200 high-performance graphics processors, supplemented by a few central processing units. Together, these components deliver a peak computational power of 300 petaflops, making the center one of the most powerful in the world.

As the 2025 Chinese New Year approached, the film industry geared up for its most lucrative season. The Gui'an Supercomputing Center played a pivotal role this year, rendering two-thirds of the films released during the festive period.

The Gui'an Supercomputing Center's contributions extend far beyond the realm of entertainment. It has harnessed its computational prowess to support various scientific endeavors. The center's servers are in constant demand, from biomedical research to astronomical weather simulations, new industrial processes to renewable energy data analysis, and even cutting-edge seismic research for the next generation of earthquake-resistant buildings.

With an average server utilization rate exceeding 80 percent, the Gui'an Supercomputing Center has delivered approximately 28 million kilowatt-hours of computational power to Guangdong, Shanghai, Hubei, Sichuan, and Guizhou. This immense contribution has facilitated over 3,000 scientific research projects.
