In recent years, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has steadfastly committed to optimizing and upgrading traditional industries while developing emerging sectors.
The city has focused on enhancing its private, industrial, agricultural, cultural tourism, urban, digital, and green economies. It has established robust approaches to foster new quality productive forces, particularly in new energy vehicles, new energy batteries and materials, and big data electronic information, to construct a modern industrial system.
To support this transformation, Guiyang recently issued the "Implementation Plan for Cultivating and Developing New Quality Productive Forces to Promote High-Quality Industrial Development." This plan outlines 10 focal areas for fostering new quality productive forces, emphasizing a tailored, phased approach that gives full play to the city's comparative advantages.
Embracing the digital wave, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have implemented a strategy for digital economic development. It allows Guiyang and Gui'an to develop a core digital economy innovation zone and promote intelligent manufacturing pilot projects.
Guiyang has already secured 20 national-level intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstrations, accelerating the digital transformation of industrial enterprises in research, production, and operations.
Through a three-year action plan for high-quality green economic development, the city is advancing carbon reduction, pollution control, green expansion, and economic growth. It is also establishing a collaborative development system for green production, consumption, living, and civilization.
