In 2024, the Guizhou Provincial Government approved a major expansion of the science city's planning area – from the original 0.12 square kilometers to ‌20.64 sq m.

Data shows that in 2024, the R&D expenditure of large-scale industrial enterprises in the science city exceeded ‌5 percent‌, driving the implementation of ‌569 technology commercialization projects‌ and generating ‌38.7 billion yuan ($5.3 billion)‌ in output value.

As a key innovation platform, the ‌Guizhou Technology Exchange Market‌ collects cutting-edge achievements and resources to build a full-chain service system for tech commercialization.
