Relying on its big data advantages, Gui'an New Area is building industrial clusters and ecosystems and driving high-quality development through booming sectors like "computing power + industry," new energy vehicles (NEVs), battery and material manufacturing.
The area has attracted leading enterprises such as Yunshang Kunpeng, Guangdian Wuzhou, Inspur, and Relida. In 2024, the output value of its electronic information manufacturing industries above the designated size surged by 168 percent year-on-year. Led by tech giants like Huawei and Chinasoft International, Gui'an's software and internet technology services sector also saw 20.62 percent revenue growth.
In 2024, the State Council commended Gui'an for building a national computing power base. Its digital economy now accounts for over 53 percent of GDP.
By utilizing provincial preferential policies, the area is emerging as a hub for NEVs, batteries, and materials, with industry giants like CATL, BYD, CRRC Times, and Sinomag setting up operations.
Local automakers, including Changjiang Auto and Ruiqi NEV, are expanding their markets, exporting Gui'an-made NEV trucks to Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Sichuan. Gui'an's battery and material industries above the designated size achieved a 43-percent growth in industrial output value in 2024.
By embracing digitalization and intelligent transformation, Gui'an's manufacturing sector is upgrading with high-speed, smart production lines, injecting new momentum into the area's high-quality economic growth.
