As the eighth national-level new area in China, Gui'an New Area has been accelerating the development of its big data industry, attracting ‌26 large-scale data centers‌ with over ‌1.4 million planned standard racks‌ and a total computing power exceeding ‌76 EFLOPS‌.

Over 98 percent of this computing capacity is dedicated to intelligent computing, positioning Gui'an as one of China's strongest regions for domestically developed intelligent computing capabilities.

In recent years, Gui'an has focused on building a nationwide computing power hub. An example is the ‌China Telecom Cloud Computing Guizhou Information Park‌, the first data center constructed in the new area. Since its inception, the park's computing capacity has surged by ‌300 percent‌, establishing it as the ‌largest and most active national-level computing node in southern China‌.

Relying on this robust computing infrastructure, Gui'an is driving digital transformation across industries. Over ‌80 percent of rendering services‌ for blockbuster films like Ne Zha 2 were powered by Gui'an's supercomputing centers.

In advanced manufacturing, the area prioritizes electronic information industrial clusters through initiatives like chips, components, boards, machines, and devices. Software development is ecosystem-driven, with industry leaders like Huawei Cloud attracting upstream and downstream enterprises.

With ‌15,000 mu (1,000 hectares)‌ reserved in Machang Industrial New City for future expansion, Gui'an aims to host ‌8-10 million servers‌, solidifying its role as a booster for western China's digital economy.
