The Guizhou Data Intellectual Property Research Base was recently inaugurated at the Guizhou Institute of Technology in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The base aims to address key challenges in Guizhou's data intellectual property reforms, accelerate the cultivation of a data factor market, unlock the potential of data resources, and promote the market-oriented allocation and value transformation of data elements.

It will rely on the strengths of Guizhou Institute of Technology's School of Big Data, School of Economics and Management, and University Science Park to conduct systematic research in core areas of data intellectual property.

Efforts will focus on foundational theories, legal frameworks, and institutional innovation to construct a theoretical system for data intellectual property. The base will explore compliance system development, value operation mechanisms, and scenario-based applications to generate practical solutions for the transformation and utilization of intellectual property data.

The base will provide free or low-cost data and intellectual property services to universities and enterprises, utilizing professional training labs, smart classrooms, and other teaching resources to innovate diverse training models, including internships and on-the-job training.

The goal is to create an immersive learning environment for data intellectual property, enhance the practical effectiveness of professional education, and cultivate a group of highly skilled, application-oriented professionals.
