The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced the first batch of 91 national high-standard digital park construction projects, with Guiyang Economic & Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) chosen as a comprehensive digital park and Guiyang Kaiyang Economic Development Zone–Kaiyang Modern Chemical Industry Park selected in the "park-within-a-park" category.
In recent years, GETDZ has guided enterprises through comprehensive upgrades to drive industrial digital transformation. Today, 73 industrial enterprises above the designated size in the zone have reached level 2 or higher in digital maturity; transformation plans for 49 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have passed expert review; and 21 projects have been recognized as national intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstrations or outstanding use cases.
On the service front, GETDZ has expanded its digital production services, securing approval as one of the country's first national intellectual property operation centers for the aerospace equipment industry and establishing a full-lifecycle intellectual property service framework.
For park management, GETDZ has rolled out an integrated digital management platform that connects cross-departmental systems and enables data sharing, featuring five specialized subsystems that deliver traceable, verifiable digital records end to end.
Backed by strong digital infrastructure, the zone has built 1,622 5G base stations, achieving 99 percent dual-gigabit network coverage alongside 338,000 core-kilometers of optical fiber. It has also established an SME cloud computing base and a green data center, boasting a total computing power of 16 PFlops and 25 PB of storage capacity.
