The Department of Trade in Services of the Ministry of Commerce has issued a notice on cultivating national demonstration zones for the innovative development of trade-in services and national digital trade demonstration zones, with Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province earning a spot on the list.
This national initiative aims to expand digital trade enterprises, pioneer innovative application scenarios, broaden high-level opening-up, and build a globally competitive digital trade ecosystem. The cultivation period lasts for at least two years, after which the zones will receive official designation once they pass a formal evaluation.
As the core hub of Guizhou's digital economy development and innovation zone, Gui'an uses robust big data computing power alongside the unique advantages of being a national-level new area and comprehensive bonded zone. With a solid foundation in digital services, data services, and digital outsourcing, the area is well-positioned for this initiative.
Gui'an will align with national standards, tap into growth potential, and focus on strengthening its industrial base, refining policy support, and expanding market entities. By forging a unique path in "big data + digital trade", the area will advance related tasks to meet standards on schedule, providing strong support to improve the quality and efficiency of the province's open economy.
